Had a sweet time, but the shower was a bit tepid and the sofa wasn’t comfy. Loved the cozy vibe and being so close to the canal, though!

The house was cozy with all the essentials, including a well-equipped kitchenette. We appreciated the thoughtful breakfast supplies that made our mornings convenient.
The shower could use some improvement as it wasn't very powerful, and the noise from the nearby pub disturbed our relaxation during the evening.

loved the cozy feel of the one-bedroom house, had all the essentials like bread, milk, and cereals ready for us. the location was amazin, really close to shops and restaurants, and the river walks were beautiful! gareth was super friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home. the outside seating area was a nice touch for chillin in the evenings.
the shower could be a bit better and the sofa wasn't comfy at all.

missingWrote a review on 20 Octnoise issueslimited kitchenuncomfortable sofa
Proximity to a nearby pub creates noise issues, such as motorbike revving disrupting relaxation. Limited kitchen items including only one large knife and an absence of a small knife complicate meal prep. The sofa is uncomfortable, and the downstairs TV setup is not user-friendly, making it hard to unwind at times.

The Gremlin Lodge offers a well-equipped kitchenette.
My stay was quite disappointing. The bathroom had a lingering unpleasant odor, and the light cord was grimy. the furnishings around the lodge felt very dated, which made the space less inviting than expected.

Ideal for families looking for a cozy retreat
We had everything we needed, bread, milk, jams, butter, juice and cereals all laid on, it felt like coming home! The hosts were very friendly, just walking distance from everything, and they even provided fans when it got a bit warm.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly but still manageable for what we got.
